History

I guess you could say the origins of LadiesofJuarez.com begin in the early 1960s.  A friend of mine mongered in Juarez since that time for a little over 30 years.

This old boy had seen them come and go.  If a lady worked in a club for a year, she was there for life.  He called these ladies, Lost Indian Princesses.

Having been in relationships with the ladies, club owners, waiters and locals in the “zona” he learned all the tricks, scams, lies and anything else used to part a gringo from his money.

Oh don’t get the ladies wrong, they were just girls trying to support their families.  Sure a few got involved in a bad element but for the most part the Ladies of Juarez were just trying to make ends meet.  They saw their job as just that, a job.  Pretty much things haven’t changed.

Here is where I come in

1988, I was a wet behind the ears kid fresh out of the army.  I went down to Juarez to buy a bottle of tequila.  I took a detour at the Plaza Mariachi noticing a side street, Mariscal.

Scared but curious I peek around a corner and look up and down the street.  It was daytime so I see nothing of interest.  I hear music coming from a bar and I venture on.

This was my first time in Faustos night club a dusty little strip bar.  I go in and again I see nothing but in the dim light I see some flirtatious ladies and I head in.

My next visit was at night I see club light where I saw nothing on my previous day trip.  I was amazed at the things I saw and how friendly the people were.  I ran into my friend.  With his help he told me stories and taught me the tricks of their trade and how to play game back to keep from getting ripped off.  I would go down to Juarez every few months for no particular reason.

The mother of all battles

My reserve unit, the 281st Transportation Co. was activated for service in the first Gulf War.  Some of the guys wanted to go to Juarez and “get some” before they died in battle.  My friend’s advice begins to kick in.  So guiding my buddies further into Juarez we find all kinds of brothels as well as the strip clubs I already knew about.  The stories that were made that night were talked about the whole time we were in Saudi Arabia.

Things really get hot

Coming back to the world and later becoming a free man I began to frequent Juarez on a semi regular basis.  Again armed with my friend’s advice and my adventurous nature I became well seasoned to the ways of night life in Mexico.  I went so far as to find some great clubs in far east Juarez in the Waterfill area.  I got to know the ladies and fit in well enough to know them personally in many ways.  I discovered the best hotels and restaurants and other great little out of the way places to pass the time.

The Internet

Chat rooms get boring real fast.  I started to explore what the World Wide Web had to offer.  I found some monger forums and began looking for some familiar names with limited success.  But I began to share advice and pointers taught to me by my friend and personal experiences making the names familiar.  Even posting pics on some website forums.  I found DragonCelt’s LadiesofNogales.com and thought what a great idea.  Someone should do the same for Juarez.

Initiative

Seeing that no one was willing to take up the task I took some lessons in making web pages and in July of ’04 I started LadiesofJuarez.com.  In this short period of time LOJ has grown from just information on downtown Juarez to including massage parlors.  I have also visited Nogales, the town that inspired this website and met DragonCelt and have even scouted Agua Prieta, a little dot on the map.  Now I am exploring the high class strip clubs not usually visited by tourists for inclusion on LOJ.

A bunch of great guys

I organized the first Juarez "MongerPalooza" before I started LOJ with some success.  Since then I have organized other events and given personal tours.  I have met a great bunch of guys.  Many are professionals with their own appreciations for Mexico and the scene in Juarez.

Passing the torch

My friend has passed on but his spirit lives on with LOJ.  It is now up to me to pass on this valuable information to you and to keep you informed on the latest happenings in our favorite Mexican city on the border.
